A 60-year-old woman is dead following a one-car crash in Otago this morning.
The woman was driving south on Taieri Mouth Road, about 7km south of Brighton, near Dunedin, when she crashed into a lamp post about 11.30am, acting Senior Sergeant Paul McLaughlan said.
She died at the scene.
Mr McLaughlan told NZPA police were waiting for post-mortem results to determine whether a medical event contributed to the crash.
