Current affairs show 60 Minutes, now screening on TV3 after being dumped by Television New Zealand, won six categories in last night's Qantas Media Awards.
The haul included the title of best current affairs show, awarded for the final year of the show's association with TV One.
TV One won the battle for top dog of the 6 o'clock news slot for the second year running, although TV3's John Campbell won best presenter.
The overall award for best television journalist went to Mark Crysell from TVNZ's Assignment programme.
Angela D'Audney and Rod Pedersen shared a joint posthumous award for outstanding achievement in the broadcasting industry.
The radio awards were dominated by Radio NZ with Eric Frykberg named top journalist, Checkpoint best news service and Rae Lamb best senior news reporter.
