$5 bet nets $39,000 after All Blacks' win

A $5 bet at the TAB has landed one punter $39,130 after the All Blacks' test series win over the Lions.

The punter had spent $5 and taken the following combination: England to beat South Africa in a one-day cricket international ($2.50), Wales to win the Six-Nations rugby title ($11), the Crusaders to win the Super 12 rugby competition ($4), Marat Safin to win the Australian men's tennis title ($11), Serena Williams to win the Australian women's tennis title ($4) and the All Blacks to win the rugby test series over the Lions ($1.65).

The punter's last jigsaw piece fell into place when the All Blacks thrashed the Lions 48-18 on Saturday after winning the first test 21-3.
