Someone from the Coromandel has just become an instant millionaire after winning tonight's Big Wednesday jackpot of $4 million.
The winning ticket was sold at Whanga Books in Whangamata and is yet to be claimed.
This is the second time this month the Big Wednesday First Division prize has been won, after a ticket shared by two best friends from the South Island won $12.3 million two weeks ago.
Anyone who bought a ticket from Whanga Books is being advised to write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately.
The lucky winner, who just so happened to strike gold on international 'be a millionaire day', can check it at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
