This term of Parliament has come to an official end.
Governor General Sir Jerry Mateparae read a proclamation dissolving this 49th Parliament as of 11am today.
It means all official parliamentary business is now halted and all uncompleted items of business will lapse, but can be reinstated when the House resumes after the election.
