An earthquake struck north of Masterton this morning at 7.46am and has been widely felt across central North Island.
Geonet described it as a moderate quake at 4.91 magnitude and 32km deep about 10km east of Eketahuna.
There have been more than 2000 'felt it' reports on Geonet.
