4.5 earthquake rattles Fiordland

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake has struck in Fiordland this morning, GNS Science reports.

The quake hit at 3.47am, 50km west of Te Anau, at a depth of 90km.

GNS Science said it may have been felt in the Te Anau region.
