4.3 quake in Fiordland

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake has struck near Te Anau, Fiordland, GNS Science has reported.

The quake hit 40 km north-west of Te Anau at a depth of 100km, at 8.47am.

GNS Science said the quake was likely to have been felt in the area.
