4.1 magnitude quake rocks Fiordland

Fiordland has been shaken by a shallow 4.1 magnitude earthquake.

The quake struck 90km west of Tuatapere at a depth of 5km at 7.35am, GNS Science reported.

A 3.1 magnitude quake also struck close to Christchurch at a depth of 9km at 5.15am today.
