The heroic efforts of two off-duty nurses help save the life of a young boy who lost consciousness at a popular swimming pool north-west of Auckland today.
The nurses, along with pool lifeguards at Parakai Springs, performed CPR on the 4-year-old boy after he was pulled from one of the centre's pools.
Parakai Springs manager Dion Tilson said the boy was conscious when emergency services arrived.
He was taken to hospital for observation.
