KEY POINTS:
Fancy owning your own skifield? Mt Dobson in South Canterbury could be yours for a cool $3 million.
The 400ha field has been run by Peter Foote and his family since opening in 1980 and employs two fulltime staff and 25 seasonal workers.
Warwick Edward, of Bayleys Queenstown, says Foote is selling because "he's at the end of his run and ready to move on".
The price includes all the equipment needed to run a skifield, and a three-bedroom house in nearby Fairlie.
Edward says the price is a bargain and a fraction of the replacement price of the equipment.
It's going for less than two Auckland properties - a historic four-bedroom home in Devonport and a beachfront house in Stanmore Bay.
Edward has had interest from New Zealand and overseas.
