About 30 firefighters are battling to bring a large two-storey house fire in Auckland under control.
The fire, at a rural property on Hingaia Road, Karaka, was reported to the Fire Service about 6.30pm by several members of the public.
Northern communications shift manager Paul Radden said at least six fire appliances are on site.
"It's a big property. It's a two-storey dwelling. Both storeys are well involved."
The house would likely be destroyed in the fire, which had not yet been brought under control, Mr Radden said.
