A 25-year-old woman has died in a single-vehicle crash in the Tararua District yesterday.
The crash occurred Mangamaire Rd and a member of the public alerted emergency services around 7.30pm.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
She has been named as Monique Miers, 25, of Palmerston North.
It was still unclear what factors had led to the crash, but it appeared the vehicle had left the road and collided with a power pole, police said.
