A lucky Christchurch shopper took home $22.6 million in prizes from last night's Big Wednesday draw, in what will be the biggest prize week in the game's history.
Last night's winning ticket was sold at Pak'n Save Riccarton, but the ticket holder had not yet come forward to claim their prize - the third biggest in the weekly draw's history.
The prize was made up of of $21,156,874 in cash plus a Lamborghini Gallardo, an Audi Q7, a Rayglass 2200 boat, a $50,000 Visa Platinum Card, $50,000 worth of travel and $675,000 towards a bach.
Lotto spokeswoman Emilia Mazur said the enormous prize would team with Saturday night's must-be-won $32 million Powerball to make the most money ever given away in one week.
"It's our biggest ever growth week in terms of both Big Wednesday and Powerball being won," she said. "There was a total of $52 million up for grabs ... it is going to be the most money we have ever given away in a week because Powerball must be won this week." Last night's winner only played one coin toss, so they got all the numbers and the toss. The jackpot has been growing since May.
