$180,000 stolen Mercedes Benz found

A black Mercedes Benz worth $180,000 has been recovered in Rotorua after it was stolen from Auckland and taken on a two-day joyride.

An Auckland man was taken into custody when he was found with the stolen car this morning, Senior Sergeant Euan Dunsmuir said.

Rotorua police were tipped off by a local business after they saw the car and thought it looked a bit strange, he said.
