KEY POINTS:
Mangere police have charged an 18-year-old South Auckland man with attempted murder after an incident involving a firearm early yesterday.
Detective Sergeant Ross Ellwood said officers had also recovered a shotgun and ammunition.
The man is to appear in the Manukau District Court today.
