A 17-year-old boy was rescued by firefighters after becoming stuck on a cliff face in Christchurch this evening.
Fire service southern communications shift manager Brent Dunn said the teen needed help when he became stuck on Taylors Mistake near a rock known as The Crocodile.
Staff from three stations were called to the job about 6.45pm.
The boy was lowered down into a boat using ropes and taken to shore safely.
There were no reports of any injuries, Mr Dunn said.
