A lucky Lotto ticket buyer in Hamilton has cause for double celebration, winning more than $16million on the same weekend the city celebrates its 150th anniversary.
The winning ticket was sold at Countdown Hamilton.
Lotteries Commission spokeswoman Emilia Mazur said the winning Lotto Powerball prize of $16.2million was made up of $16million from Powerball first division and $250,000 from Lotto first division.
Three other first division winners took home $250,000 each.
"The past few months have been incredibly lucky for our players," she said.
