A 14-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with causing the deaths of two Featherston boys.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in Masterton District Court today on three new charges, two of dangerous driving causing death and one of dangerous driving causing injury.
The teen has previously appeared on charges of driving without a licence, failing to stop and getting into a vehicle unlawfully.
Pacer Willacy-Scott and Hoani Korewha died when the car they were in crashed into a lamp post after a brief police pursuit in Masterton.
In court today the teen's lawyer, Jock Blathwayt, said he was not in a position to enter pleas to the charges as he had yet to receive full disclosure, including the crash report, from police.
Mr Blathwyt asked for a two week remand to look at preparing a bail application.
