A Tauranga man who committed a raft of sexual abuse offences against four young victims has been jailed for 13 years and must serve at least seven years before he is eligible to apply for parole.
Stonemason Darrin Robert McArthur, 43, earlier admitted five charges of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection and eight charges of indecent assault.
Eight charges are representative charges.
He was sentenced in Tauranga District Court yesterday by Judge Christopher Harding.
Four of the charges, including two representative charges of sexual violation, occurred against a young girl and the other charges relate to three youths. Some of the offending occurred when the victims were aged under 12.
