At least 12 people have been injured and one killed, in separate crashes around the country today.
A motorcyclist died in Taranaki, a man in his 60s was critically injured after rolling his car at Port Waikato and a pedestrian was flown to hospital in a serious condition after being struck at Oruanui.
The crashes, which have happened in various parts of the country, resulted in temporarily road closures and warnings for motorists to expect delays while diversions were in place.
Police say they are still investigating the fatal accident which happened at 2.25pm on Wiremum Rd, Te Kiri, in Taranaki.
Earlier in the day four people were injured, one seriously, after two cars and a camper van crashed in Christchurch.
