111 call after boy stuck in tambourine

Firefighters were called to a Napier daycare centre yesterday after a boy got a a tambourine stuck around his neck.

The incident happened shortly before 9am at Kidspace on Kennedy Road.

A Napier Fire Service spokesman said it took about a minute to remove the instrument without cutting it.
