Pacific Health Providers will get an additional $10.4 million over four years in the budget.
The funding would establish health programmes specifically focused on Pacific youth.
A target campaign costing $200,000 over 2008-10 would help the Pacific Island Affairs Ministry promote the uptake of modern apprenticeships in Pacific communities.
Pacific Island Affairs Minister Winnie Laban said the ministry would get $1.3m in 2007/08, a further $1.3m of operating funding over the next four years and $290,000 of capital funding in the 2008/09 year.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Winston Peters announced the Pacific Cooperation Foundation would get a $5.5m increase in baseline funding over four years.
The Asia New Zealand Foundation would get $2.5m for outreach initiatives in 2008/09.
