102-year-old dies on birthday

Edie Reynolds died on her 102nd birthday yesterday, only hours before she was to blow out the candles on her cake.

Friends and family gathered at her New Plymouth rest home and the cake was still cut as a tribute to Mrs Reynolds' long life.
