A man accused of stealing what is believed to be more than $100,000 from Blenheim's Armourguard depot is the company's former branch manager.
Stanley William Tunnicliffe, 47, now unemployed, appeared in Blenheim District Court today charged with entering a building on January 14 in Blenheim with intent to commit a crime.
The Marlborough Express reported that police had recovered a large amount of cash.
Tunnicliffe did not plead and Judge Tony Zohrab ordered him to reappear in court for a pre-depositions conference on March 9.
