The only small car built in Australia is celebrating a significant milestone with the production of the 100,000th Holden Cruze at the company's vehicle assembly facility in Elizabeth, South Australia.
The vehicle, a "Red Hot" SRi Z-Series hatch, is destined for Commonwealth Motors in Australia's capital, Canberra.
Holden executive director of manufacturing, Richard Phillips, said building the 100,000th Cruze was a great milestone for Holden and the Elizabeth plant.
"The Cruze competes in the most hotly-contested segment of the most competitive car market in the world, but it's the only small car made here in Australia. That's something we're very proud of," he said.
