A ten year-old boy who sustained a serious head injury remains in a critical condition at Dunedin Hospital after having surgery last night.
Invercargill Police were investigating how the boy was injured.
He was placed in an induced coma and was currently in an intensive care unit. Police were working with boy's family, school and the Ministry of Education.
Emergency services were called to Sacred Heart School about 8.35am yesterday where the boy had suffered a head injury.
