Southland police are seeking witnesses to an attack in broad daylight on a 10-year-old girl.
The girl was forced behind the Riverton Fire Station on Monday night and assaulted by two teenage boys, who then chased the girl along Riverton Rd. She received minor injuries and had articles of her clothing taken.
Police say the small Southland town is full of holiday-makers who may have witnessed the attack.
The alleged offenders are described as between 17 and 19-years-old, one with dark hair and wearing an orange top and the other wearing a black top and blue trackpants.
