10 police break up street brawl

Young men with axes and machetes converged on a South Auckland street yesterday in a brawl that needed 10 police officers to break up.

Police said around 100 people gathered on Burbank Ave, near Manurewa, but only 10 or 12, in their teens and 20s, were involved in the fight.

There were a few minor injuries and four arrests.
