A person has been treated for smoke inhalation following a fire onboard of a 10-metre launch in the Hauraki Gulf.
Emergency services were called out to the yacht near Kawau Island just before 3pm.
A fire crew from the Parnell station went out with police to help combat the blaze, and the Coastguard was also in attendance.
It is believed the fire was sparked by an electrical fault.
But it is not known if the yacht will be able to continue to sail, or if it will need to be towed.
