A Christchurch woman has been charged with the theft of $1.03 million from her employer, a Christchurch digital printing company.
Maria Ann Kahu, 40, of Rolleston, was granted a registrar's remand to reappear in Christchurch District Court on December 16.
She is charged with theft by failing to account for diverting payments to the company into her own bank account.
The largest charge refers to an amount of $1,004,285. The offending is alleged to have taken place from 2004 until last month.
