A young woman who went missing from Palmerston North Hospital's mental health unit has her family extremely worried.
Chelsea Brunton was last seen on Saturday, May 6, at Palmerston North Hospital when she went out for a cigarette but never came back.
Chelsea was last seen on Ruahine St, wearing black tights, a red shirt, a scarf and black sneaker shoes with white soles.
Her family have put up flyers across the city, saying her disappearance is out of character. She is believed to have left the ward without an eftpos card, phone or car.
Chelsea has a three-and-a-half-year-old daughter and police are asking anyone who may be able to assist them in their search, to contact their local police station as soon as possible.
