"Even us on the side lines...and that's what we will be working on for our next game tomorrow night. We'll be watching some film and working on improving our defense."
Larsen admitted although his team had some good patches, the Sharks had more.
"They played very well--they looked like they had been together longer than us. They executed [plays] well and both their defense and offense worked very well."
The first quarter saw the Sharks hunt down their Manawatu opponents, quickly gaining a 10-point lead. Former Michigan shooter Dion Harris scored the first two points for the Jets but this was quickly overshadowed by Todd Blanchfield, who finished the game with 28 points, nine rebounds and three steals.
The second quarter was an improvement for the Manawatu team but the point gap widened by the end of the third to 80 - 56. The final quarter saw both teams gain close to 20 points on the board but the Sharks were too far ahead, using the fourth period to cement their win.
Jets' player Brook Ruscoe, formerly of the Nelson Giants, also proved he was worth the investment finishing the game with 15 points and three assists. but shooting was under par for the Jets who sunk just 42 per cent of their field goals, and six out of 21 3-point goals.
Nick Horvath became a talking point after his attempt at two 3-point shots, something he hasn't done since 2012.
The Sharks now have a break until their next game on April 10 against the Canterbury Rams while the Manawatu Jets will play the Rams tomorrow night in Christchurch.
