A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Palmerston North.
A police media spokesman said emergency services were alerted to the incident involving a car and pedestrian on Featherston St at approximately 3.11pm this afternoon.
The man died at the scene and police are now investigating.
The serious crash unit is at the scene alongside the New Zealand Fire Service.
Traffic is being diverted away from the stretch of Featherston St, between Bryant and Pascal streets.
