The Globe Theatre is presenting a Sunday concert with a difference.
This week's show will have a focus on vocal jazz and will feature some local musicians.
'An afternoon of Swing, Latin, Ballads, Bebop and Jazz--Blues Standards with more than a sprinkling of Improvisation' will kick off at 2.30pm this Sunday.
Performers include Sue Pugmire, who sang her first solo at the age of 5. Sue is well-known in the city for her passion on various issues, and she extends this passion to her music. Sue joined a rock band at the age of 13 and two years later joined a folk band.
Sue also ran the Palmerston North folk club for 20 years. She has performed in London, Paris and Norway with bands and as a solo artist, and still performs many genres including her own compositions, political commentary and protest songs, children's songs, Folk, Rock and Blues and Jazz.
