Cyclists put their foot to the pedal in the Bike Manawatu's Six Hour Cycle Challenge at the weekend.
More than 300 cyclists completed as many laps of the Manfeild racing circuit as they could in six hours on Sunday to raise awareness about cycling and to get people active in the Manawatu.
Bike Manawatu's Christine Christie said they reached record numbers and the event was very successful.
"We had entrants from as far away as Wellington, Hawke's bay, Wanganui and Masterton, and had a record number ofschools attending from Year 7 up.
"This event was a chance for all schools, universities, workplaces, armed forces, bike clubs and service clubs to get involved to win cash and spot prizes."
