Aorangi Marae is looking to refurbish part of their building and is hoping this weekend's Celebrity Quiz Challenge will bring in enough funds.
The marae, which has been standing since 1888, is an important part of the community and is often used for various events and group-stays.
The ablution block and dinging room are in need of an upgrade, with organisers hoping this can begin as soon as possible.
They hope to build lasting resources for future generations to continue making use of the marae.
This Saturday night at the Feilding Civic Centre, a quiz and auction will be held.
Those in a team can bid to have celebrities Willie Jackson, John Tamihere, Howard Morrison Jnr or Pulse Coach Yvette McCausland-Durie on their team. This may give them the advantage they need to win.
