Quinn Hautapu knows the inside of a hospital room like the back of her hand but all she wants is a bedroom to call her own.
The family of the young girl, who suffers from an aggressive brain cancer, are determined to make her dreams come true by building a specialised bedroom to accommodate her needs.
Quinn was diagnosed in February last year with Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumor. A stroke alerted doctors to the illness which has seen the eight-year-old undergo brain surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and stem-cell rescue.
The youngster has had to learn to walk again and spent most of last year in Starship Hospital. She's now in remission and every 12 weeks an MRI is performed to monitor the disease. Lasting side-effect's for Quinn include chronic fatigue and a weak right-side.
Her mother Roanne said Quinn had been unable to enter her own bedroom for the past 18 months as it was located upstairs.
