Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger was today immortalised with the unveiling of her own star on Hollywood's prestigious Walk of Fame.
The blonde star of Chicago and Bridget Jones' Diary, who secretly married country singing star Kenny Chesney earlier this month, was overcome by emotion as she uncovered her very own bronze-edged star.
"The reality of this just hit me a few seconds ago and I am dumbfounded," the actress said at a ceremony on the pavement of Hollywood Boulevard, where her star became the 2286th star on the famed sidewalk.
"I never ever imagined a day like this or that I would ever be invited to be part of this legacy. I'm dying right now," the actress, wearing a light-blue summer dress, told an applauding crowd.
The unveiling of Zellweger's star alongside those of icons such as Bette Davis and Nicole Kidman came 10 days before the opening of her latest movie Cinderella Man, in which she co-stars with Russell Crowe.
The Texan-born Zellweger, 36, won the best supporting actress Academy Award last year for her role in 2003's American Civil War epic Cold Mountain.
