Zane Lowe has probably had worse weeks. The expatriate musician-turned-star of British radio got some hearty pats on the back - two major radio awards in London and the news that the album by his group Breaks Co-Op had attained platinum status (15,000 sales) at home in New Zealand.
At the Sony Radio Awards - Britain's major annual honours for the industry - Lowe won Music Broadcaster of the Year and the Specialist Music Award for his evening slot on the BBC's Radio 1. He was also nominated for DJ of the Year.
