Steriogram might have a mighty five-album deal with Capitol Records in the US but they still know how to enjoy a good Kiwi summer. Singer Tyson Kennedy, guitarist Brad Carter, drummer Jared Wrennall, guitarist Tim Youngson and bass player Jake Adams share tips for a sublime summer.
Get outdoors and ...
Jake: Play cricket.
Tyson: Go swimming.
Brad: Take a guitar to a campfire with marshmallows and lots of 90s music.
Tim: Go skinny dipping.
Drink plenty of fluids
Jared: I like juice. Gin and juice.
Jake: Some nice red wine.
Tyson: Monteith's Summer Ale.
Jake: Have one of those with a beer stick. Cured meat and beer is always good in summer, although I do like a mojito. It usually takes you about three or four to get them palatable. But my new drink of choice is rum on the rocks with a squeeze of lime and a sprig of mint. It's very refreshing.
Slip, slop, slap
Tyson: Because of the retro thing, fluoro zinc is coming back in. Just on the nose and a little on the bottom lip. I'm going to be sporting it at all the shows.
Be romantic
Brad: Make sure you're standing next to a hot girl when it strikes midnight at New Year's Eve. I never ever got the New Year's pash.
Tim: Can you put a little ad in for me?
Brad: Any hot girls around in Christchurch when we're doing New Year's Eve, come stand next to Tim.
Tim: I'm a bit slow so you'll probably need to jump me.
