What the A to Z of winter wellness is all about
When the chill factor drops our focus on good health often drifts. Not only are we more susceptible to nasty winter lurgies, but the temptation to hibernate can mean less moving and not as much focus on the right food for optimal health. In a bid to stay focused (or re-focus) this winter, we've called on the smarts of holistic health expert, Dr Libby Weaver to help compile our interactive A to Z of Winter Wellness. Each weekday we will reveal the next letter and what it stands for in our health file, plus informative graphics and recipe suggestions to help boost your health. Check in to Life & Style every afternoon for your winter wellness inspiration.

It is time to make some time for you. Yes you! Can you remember the last time you did something for yourself that you love to do or that involved deep rest, relaxation or fun? If not, it's time to schedule in some much needed 'you time'. Winter is perfect, as often your social diary slows down and you spend more time at home. Can you plan a long, uninterrupted soak in the bath with a good book and some relaxing essential oils? What about a dance class or night in with friends, or just snuggling in with an old favourite movie that has you laughing out loud?
Take a look at what is stopping you making time for yourself and see if you can find a solution. Often our never ending to-do-list can feel so 'normal' that we forget the fun, relaxation, restorative times and keep planning to tick off jobs and chores before we collapse into bed each night. Living in the constant rush of life, never resting, always on the 'go', not being able to relax or unwind can have very real health implications. Often in the rush we are doing things for others, but if we don't put our own oxygen mask on first, we might pas out and be of no use to others. Make some time for you. It is nourishment for your body, mind and soul.
