What the A to Z of winter wellness is all about
When the chill factor drops our focus on good health often drifts. Not only are we more susceptible to nasty winter lurgies, but the temptation to hibernate can mean less moving and not as much focus on the right food for optimal health. In a bid to stay focused (or re-focus) this winter, we've called on the smarts of holistic health expert, Dr Libby Weaver to help compile our interactive A to Z of Winter Wellness. Each weekday we will reveal the next letter and what it stands for in our health file, plus informative graphics and recipe suggestions to help boost your health. Check in to Life & Style every afternoon for your winter wellness inspiration.

J | Juice by Dr Libby Weaver
Juicing is such an easy way to get extra nutrients and plants into your diet. Vegetable juices in particular are highly nourishing. Try to make your juices out of at least 80 per cent vegetables with a little bit of fruit to slightly sweeten it. Juicing provides you with roughly 75 per cent of the nutrients of the whole fruit or vegetable. You probably couldn't sit down and eat a massive plate of veggies before breakfast but once you juice them you get lots of the nutrients in a ready to go smaller size. If starting the day with something cooling doesn't feel good, keep soup on hand made from plenty of veggies, flavoured with some warming spices such as turmeric and cumin, to eat at any time of the day.
