2013 Falconhead Hawkes Bay Merlot Cabernet
This is a prime example of a quality wine under $20. Merlot-dominant with 6 per cent cabernet sauvignon from grapes grown in the Bridge Pa area of Hawkes Bay. Merlot provides the juniper berry and chocolate plum flavours with a supple smooth gentleness. The cabernet kicks in with rich blackberries and some tannic backbone adding to a great smart, easy quaffer.

Leveret I.Q. Premium Brut
Bubbles in the methode traditionelle style and a descendent of the hugely successful, much awarded Coniglio range. An inexpensive, refreshing tipple that comes with all the style and class you normally have to pay through the nose for. Perfect for a celebration. From grapes sourced from Hawkes Bay and a traditional blend of pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier, it is nutty and yeasty, with a fine, persistent bead. Smart presentation and super smart price.

2013 O:TU Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
For those who like their sauvignon to be bursting with personality and the kind of attitude you expect from catwalk models. Bottled early to retain maximum freshness, this has all the zesty fruit intensity you would want with those traditional New Zealand sauvignon characters of cut grass, gooseberries, limes, green apples, currants and peaches. A great wine to welcome summer.
