We haven't switched our national allegiance, but we applaud the Pullman hotel's coming over all French in a way that doesn't leave non-rugby fans out in the cold. Timed to coincide with France's current rugby tour and running through until Bastille Day on July 14, the Auckland hotel is adopting a French flavour. "It's a pop-up Paris concept throughout the hotel," explains general manager Rob McIntyre. "We're red, white and blue throughout, for more than a month." Special dining and drinks menus, spa treatments and accommodation packages are on offer and the lobby features projections of Parisian images and French music, with champagne of course the drink du jour.
The hotel is part of the French-owned Accor group.
To celebrate, Viva is delighted to a have a Parisian Escape at the Pullman Auckland to give away. One lucky winner will receive two nights' accommodation in an Executive King Suite, Moet & Chandon and macarons on arrival and indulgent Thalgo Detoxification Aromatique treatments at Spa at the Pullman.
There's also a three-course French meal with matching French wines, an in-room screening of a French film with accompanying movie treats, and VIP transfers in Pullman Auckland's luxury Audi to the La Cigale French Markets. The prize also includes breakfast for two, valet parking, late check-out and complimentary wi-fi. Total value? $1400. It's a Francophile's dream.
