Why this woman's legs make people uncomfortable

Taking photos of other passengers on public transport is creepy with a capital C, but one commuter's pic has gone viral - due to a bizarre leg pose.

The image was taken on a subway train in New York, and shows a highly flexible woman sitting with her legs twisted into what looks like a very uncomfortable position.

The pic was shared on Imgur, and quickly captured the internet's imagination.

Viewed more than 80,000 times, the image has attracted a range of comments from viewers trying to work out what she's doing.

"Is that right leg even attached?" said one viewer. "When you try to play Twister on your own," quipped another.

One viewer suggested the woman was sitting like that "because the a****** across from her is trying to get an upskirt shot", while another decided she just "really, really has to pee".
