A New York chef has created what is believed to be the world's first US$1000 ($1295) bagel, adding white truffle cream cheese and goji berry infused Riesling jelly with golden leaves to the city's staple.
The creation, on display at the The Westin New York in Times Square, Manhattan, is the creation of the hotel's head chef Frank Tujague and was designed to raise funds for Les Amis d'Escoffier Scholarship, which provides scholarships to students of the culinary arts.
