Everyone has suffered the fate of a "blow out" - it's part of the deal when it comes to flip-flop footwear.
But the complaints aren't about "unplugging". The complaints are about "snapping" and you can't come back from that.
why is it that every year I need to purchase 2 pairs of havaianas because 1 pair just won't survive summer? at $59.99 a...

My new Havis, which in the past would have endured torturous treatment through multiple summers of music festivals and burning sand, no longer had the resilience to survive even a three-year-old stepping on them.
IT'S LIKE THEY WANT US TO GET BINDIIS
I wasn't alone in my disappointment. Like after like and comment after comment rolled in, sharing the same despair.
Katie: "I'd like to know too. I've been wearing them for around 18 years, never ever a problem until the last year or so where the kids and I have snapped maybe five pairs which were all fairly new."
Melissa: "The last pair I bought the metallic strip fell off within two weeks."
Jamie: "I've snapped four pairs in three years. They used to last forever! This pair is my last attempt to remain a loyal Havai's customer."
Tyler: "Same with most people on here, I've just had the same thing happen. The good old blow out in the most inconvenient place. This is the second time now and will be the last as I will not be paying the price for a poorly made product. You would think with all the reviews about blow outs that Havaianas would do something about it. Very annoyed."
However Havaianas do offer a six-month replacement warranty.
If you were savvy enough to keep your receipt, you can hit them up for a new pair.
From their site: "We stand by the quality of Havaianas and as such offer a six-month warranty on all Havaianas products with proof of purchase."
But this does little to address the fact that they're snapping in the first place. Wearers are left to face the mercy of roasting bitumen, scalding sand and the ever present, potentially fatal (if you ask my kids) bindiis when they're left holding their broken, thus useless thong.
According to their site: "Havaianas are crafted from a top secret, premium Brazilian rubber formula."
With Havaianas' 55th anniversary fast approaching, we asked them if someone's been messing with that formula lately.
Unfortunately Havaianas Australia have declined to comment, however they did want to reiterate that they are confident in their customer service and the six-month replacement warranty on all Havaianas purchased from their online store, or from any one of their authorised resellers throughout Australia.
