* Elephant Rocks (in Waitaki District, near Oamaru):
The hidden valley and Aslan's camp.
* Flock Hill (near Arthurs Pass):
The site of the Great Battle. Also, the inaccessible area of Flock Hill and its odd-shaped rocks were shot separately and used in the great battle scene.
* Paradise (beyond Glenorchy near Queenstown):
Narnia in spring.
New Zealand-based snow set.
* Catlins Coast (south of Dunedin):
Cliff faces and seascapes shot separately then used for certain scenes, including the clifftop coronation at Cair Paravel.
* Auckland (including sites at Kelly Park Film Village, Henderson Valley Studios, and Hobsonville Airbase):
Snowy Narnia landscape.
Aslan's Tomb.
Scenes of children in forest.
Interior buildings, including the professor's house.
* Woodhill Forest (beyond Kumeu in West Auckland)
* Wellington: Weta Workshop created props, jewellery, costuming, armour and weapons.
CZECH REPUBLIC
* Ardspach National Park, Trutnov:
Heavy snow scenes (because snow in New Zealand was not deep enough)
Scenes of children in forest.
ENGLAND
* Severn Valley Railway (near Ludlow, in Shropshire): Used to film children's journey to the professor's house.
