Technics uses places from Earth and Mars. Astro-Scientists tried numbers, but people made so many sick jokes (`Has anyone seen Astro-2, too? I'm threelled to work with him. I haven't before.') that the Council on Bellatrix stopped the idea.

K'trin led us through an airlock. The Pilot-Nav's starburst badge gleamed black-and-gold on her shoulders, just as it did on Rid's and mine. We moved on down a narrow corridor. `SECTOR 5 BRIEFING', read a sign with an arrow above it.

A lot of Bellatrx is narrow corridors. Corridors to Sector 5's huge chambers where 10,000 people live and work. More corridors lead inwards to the centre of the Star-Reacher. Or outwards to Sectors 6, 7, 8, and the half-completed Sector 9.
